New Goffs Horses-In-Training Sale to be held at Ascot Racecourse on QIPCO British Champions Day

Ascot Racecourse, Goffs and British Champions Series Limited are delighted to announce a new boutique horses-in-training sale to be held on QIPCO British Champions Day, Saturday 21 October 2023.

The Goffs QIPCO British Champions Day Sale at Ascot will offer approximately 12 elite horses in training in the parade ring before racing, with the auction conducted from the Ascot winner’s podium.

QIPCO British Champions Day is Britain’s richest race day with a prize fund of over £4 million. It is a thrilling finale to the Flat racing season that features four Group 1 races and is attended by many of the sport’s leading owners and trainers.

Goffs has a proven record of creating world-class offsite boutique sales. The Goffs London Sale at Kensington Palace Gardens has been the curtain raiser to Royal Ascot for almost a decade, achieving prices of £1.3 million, £1.3 million, £1.2 million, £1.1 million, £900,000, £825,000, £800,000, and £720,000 for elite horses in training. Taking inspiration from how Goffs London blends the business of selling quality horses with a unique social occasion, the Goffs QIPCO British Champions Day Sale at Ascot will be preceded by a reception for invited guests and potential purchasers.

The theatre of the auction and the opportunity to showcase the bloodstock sales side of the thoroughbred industry meanwhile will also enhance an action-packed race day devised by QIPCO and British Champions Series to entertain and educate racegoers.
